The long awaited Woodleigh Residences by SPH and Kajima finally opened its doors for preview over the weekend.
There was a steady stream of visitors to the showflat while we were there.
Although there was no queue at the show units, it wasn’t easy trying to get an ‘unblocked’ picture (because “someone” keeps on getting in the way).
While the indicative pricing which starts from c.S$1,900psf (averaging at c.S$2,000psf) is a notch higher compared to the prices transacted at Park Colonial averaging at S$1,700psf to S$1,800psf, Woodleigh Residences offers the convenience of living within a mixed development.
The development will have picturesque views overlooking the Alkaff Lake and Bidadari Park which gives a pristine living concept.
Apart from the normal facilities offered in a condominium, Woodleigh Residences has an indoor Japanese-styled onsen.
Sitting above the Woodleigh MRT station, the project is also connected by Singapore’s first undergound bus interchange.
Woodleigh Residences has unit sizes which is slightly larger than Park Colonial, offers from 2-bedroom (570sqft) to 4-bedroom units. 51% of its total units comprises 2-bedroom units of various designs.
While the sizes were larger, we noted that the bedroom sizes have limited walking space (Derek knocked his toes while trying to do the crab dance!).
We understand that not all the units will be launched for sale on the first day. However, this is still subject to changes.
The targeted official launch date is on 10 Nov. Will buyers bite? We will know soon.
Before that, all eyes will be on the official launches of Whistler Grand and Kent Ridge Hill.
Parc Esta (1,399 units), probably the largest development after Jadescape, will be launched for preview this weekend, 3 Nov.
